A main feature of Miriam Loellmann's work is the exploration and combination of different materials to stimulate the senses, especially feeling.

She developed an unique style of how she makes her artworks: mostly they consist of small shapes in different contrasting material and haptic, like soft, rough, hard, smooth, etc., which then together create a composition.
Her work is based on simplicity and honesty. Providing access to sensory perception is a strong focus in her work. Miriam Loellmann works very craft with simple techniques, partly developed by herself.

Geometric forms have been the artist's orientation and fascination for years. Her still young oeuvre is created almost exclusively in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. The tropical and very vivid environment, also the Brazilian modern architecture and the organic forms of nature growing into the city, always stimulate her anew.
"In my work I express in an authentic, intimate and intuitive way what I can not put into words. It is a very honest and direct mirror of my development. Much more than about concepts, my work is about stimulating and refining the senses of people. I want to express beauty and clarity through my work and bring the viewer into a state of wonder and presence, beyond mental concepts and thought forms - from thinking to feeling to presence and aliveness."
"I am interested in finding and developing a working style that gives me the feeling of autonomy, inner independence and the freedom to express myself in my authentic way. It is important to me to maintain my own free space, in which my work can develop in its very own rhythm and pace, undisturbed by foreign influences."
